Introduction to industrial automation, automation hierarchy, types of automation, PLC fundamentals, PLC vs relay logic, PLC architecture, CPU, memory types, I/O modules, power supply, PLC scan cycle, PLC wiring, sinking vs sourcing, PLC addressing, PLC programming languages - ladder logic, function block diagram, structured text, instruction list, sequential function chart, PLC hardware - Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Delta, Mitsubishi, Schneider, PLC software - TIA Portal, RSLogix, GX Works, WPLSoft.
W2: Week 2: Ladder Logic, Timers & Counters
Ladder logic fundamentals, rungs, rails, NO, NC contacts, output coils, set/reset, latching, basic logic gates in ladder, timers - TON, TOF, RTO, timer applications, counters - CTU, CTD, counter applications, comparison instructions - EQU, NEQ, GRT, LES, GEQ, LEQ, math instructions - ADD, SUB, MUL, DIV, move instructions - MOV, COP, jump and subroutine instructions, program control instructions, first scan, fault handling.
W3: Week 3: Analog I/O, PID & Communication
Analog I/O modules, analog input types - 4-20mA, 0-10V, ADC resolution, scaling, analog output, PID control fundamentals, P, I, D terms, PID tuning, PID implementation in PLC, closed-loop control, communication protocols - Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, RS-232, RS-485, SCADA integration basics.
W4: Week 4: HMI, Live Projects & Certification
HMI fundamentals, HMI design, HMI tags, alarms, trends, recipes, HMI-PLC communication, HMI software - WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Delta DOPSoft, live projects - motor start/stop with interlock, traffic light control, conveyor belt control, water level control, temperature control with PID, HMI-based motor control, complete documentation, viva-voce examination, certificate distribution.
