W1: Week 1: Python and Flask/Django Fundamentals
Introduction to Python for web development, Python syntax review, virtual environments, pip, project structure, introduction to Flask (or Django), routing, views, templates (Jinja2), static files, request-response cycle, HTTP methods, forms handling, sessions, cookies, Flask extensions, Django project structure, Django apps, URL routing, views, templates, Django ORM basics, MVC vs MVT architecture, development server, debugging.
W2: Week 2: Database Design and Models
Database fundamentals, SQLite/PostgreSQL/MySQL setup, ORM concepts, Flask-SQLAlchemy (or Django ORM), defining models - User, Student, Company, Internship, Application, Mentor, Certificate, relationships - one-to-many, many-to-many, migrations, database seeding, CRUD operations, querying data, filtering, pagination, database indexing, data validation, form validation, WTForms (or Django Forms), CSRF protection, file uploads (resume, certificates), image handling.
W3: Week 3: Authentication, Roles, and Internship Workflows
User authentication - registration, login, logout, password hashing (bcrypt/Argon2), session management, role-based access control (RBAC) - Admin, Company, Student, Mentor, email verification, password reset, OTP, internship posting workflow - company posts internship, admin approves, student applies, application tracking, status updates (Applied, Shortlisted, Selected, Rejected, Completed), mentor assignment, task tracking, progress reports, notifications (email/SMS), dashboards for each role.
W4: Week 4: Admin Panel, Deployment, and Certification
Admin panel - user management, internship management, application management, reports and analytics, chart.js dashboards, certificate generation (PDF using ReportLab/WeasyPrint), QR code verification, export to Excel/CSV, email integration (SMTP, SendGrid), REST API basics, security best practices (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF), deployment - Gunicorn + Nginx, Heroku/Render/Railway, environment variables, domain setup, SSL certificate, project documentation, viva-voce examination, certificate distribution.
