W1: Week 1: AutoCAD Interface and 2D Drafting Basics
Introduction to AutoCAD, interface overview, workspaces, ribbon, command line, coordinate systems (absolute, relative, polar), drawing commands - line, circle, arc, rectangle, polygon, ellipse, polyline, spline, points, construction line, ray, units and drawing setup, zoom and pan, selection methods, object snaps, orthographic projection, isometric drawing.
W2: Week 2: Advanced 2D Drafting and Editing
Modify commands - move, copy, rotate, scale, mirror, offset, array (rectangular, polar, path), trim, extend, fillet, chamfer, stretch, lengthen, break, join, explode, align, grips editing, match properties, overkill, layers, blocks, attributes, dimensioning, hatching, text, tables, title blocks, printing and plotting.
W3: Week 3: 3D Modeling Fundamentals
Introduction to 3D modeling, 3D coordinate systems, UCS (User Coordinate System), 3D viewing, viewport configuration, visual styles, wireframe, hidden, shaded, conceptual, realistic, 3D primitives - box, cylinder, cone, sphere, torus, wedge, pyramid, 3D polyline, 3D mirror, 3D rotate, 3D align, 3D array.
W4: Week 4: Solid and Surface Modeling
Solid modeling - extrude, revolve, sweep, loft, presspull, union, subtract, intersect, interference checking, editing solids - fillet, chamfer, shell, taper, slice, section, surface modeling - planar surface, network surface, blend surface, patch surface, offset surface, mesh modeling - mesh primitives, mesh editing, mesh smoothing, converting between solids, surfaces, and meshes.
W5: Week 5: Rendering, Visualization, and Live Projects
Materials and textures, material library, material mapping, lighting - point light, spot light, directional light, photometric lights, sunlight, sky, background, rendering settings, render presets, cloud rendering, walkthrough, animation, camera, perspective view, orthographic view, live projects - mechanical components, assemblies, product design, complete design documentation.
W6: Week 6: Documentation, Viva, and Certification
Drawing template creation, drawing standards, sheet sets, layouts, viewports, annotation, dimensions in 3D, 2D extraction from 3D models, section views, detail views, auxiliary views, project documentation, drawing revision management, resume building, interview preparation, viva-voce examination, feedback session, certificate distribution.
